Letter to the Congregation

Church Council meets tonight at  7:00 pm in the downstairs meeting room.  We'll be meeting monthly for a while to allow adequate effort on developing a plan of action to move forward in 2017. All leaders are in the process of developing action proposals with the help of their group membership.

Recent articles from the MI Connect weekly newsletter have some ideas to consider:
The AARP Foundation offers free income tax return preparation and free filing for all taxpayers with middle to low income with special attention to those age 60 and older. This free service, available February 1st through April 14th, is provided by the AARP Foundation and their IRS-certified tax preparers in cooperation with various civic organizations.

Appointments are now available at many locations around the metropolitan area:
Think Spring! - Three gardening seminars are planned again this year with Janet Macunovich, a well-known gardener, lecturer and landscape designer who owns Perennial Favorites with her husband Steve Nikkila, a professional photographer. The seminars will be on three Thursdays - Feb 2, Feb 16, and Mar 2 - from 7 to 9 pm in Fellowship Hall. Now is the time to Think Spring.
